Impeaching the IRS Commissioner?

Posted by taxguru on May 25, 2016

This takes guts by the Congressmen to pursue because all of them can be sure that they will soon be facing serious IRS backlash in the form of “anal probe” style audits.

More lies from IRS Commissioner

Posted by taxguru on May 23, 2016

IRS chief: I’ve never spoken to Lois Lerner

Knowing that nothing serious will happen to him, he’s “too busy” to appear before Congress to defend himself against impeachment.  This level of arrogance after being caught committing perjury on several occasions is mind boggling, but not out of character for members of the bHo Regime.

Charging for required tasks…

Posted by taxguru on May 7, 2016

Something about this press release from IRS, describing the rationale for their special user fees, strikes me as bordering on insane.

IRS User Fee Program

They try to make the case that people and entities that get special services from IRS should reimburse the government for the costs for IRS to provide those special services.

What goes unsaid is the fact that the only reason people need to request these “special services” are the facts that IRS requires us all to do all of these complicated things and, with the assistance of our Rulers in DC, have done everything they can to make everything as confusing as possible.  Charging victims of our convoluted tax system special extra fees in order to explain how to comply with the rules is crazy.

Similarly, as in the news release, is the issue of PTINs for us tax pros.  It’s as if it’s some kind of luxury benefit that we receive by having a PTIN, so we should pay IRS for the “benefit” of literally being forced to reapply for a renewal of our PTIN every single year.  I’m sure other tax pros would agree with me that we liked it better under the old rules, where we obtained a PTIN in order to protect the privacy of our SSNs and then we just used that same number from that point on, without having to pay a new fee every year.  What’s next?  An annual application and fee for every American to renew our Social Security numbers?

Our IRS Masters

Posted by taxguru on April 13, 2016

This time of year, as we all slave away to stay in the good graces of our overlords at the IRS, a little dose of their character should be enlightening.  These are the people we are forced to reveal all of our secrets to or face prison time.

ID Fraud

It’s bad enough that so many freelance crooks are scamming innocent people to steal their identities and tax refunds.  Now, it appears that IRS is assisting in these crimes.

IRS chief: Agency encourages illegal immigrant theft of SSNs to file tax returns

Since Commissioner Koskinen’s perjury to Congress last year about the Lois Lerner crimes wasn’t enough to remove him as head tax collector for the country, this news should hopefully do the job.  If only we had some political representatives in DC who understood the need to oppose the bHo Regime’s crimes and destructive actions.

Making fun of Lois Lerner’s Crimes

The Capitol Steps, a group that performs political parody songs that usually have a slight leftist tilt, has posted an MP3 version of their song about the IRS attacks on Tea Party organizations.

When I.R.S. Guys Are Smiling

While slightly amusing, it is also a bit sad that such abusive use of government powers against political critics is now accepted as standard practice in this country.

Another example of “Do as I say…”

Posted by taxguru on April 10, 2016

What does this say about our tax system?

A Tax Court judge and her husband have been indicted for income tax fraud for claiming a lot of phony business deductions, the very thing that Tax Court judges rule on in almost every case they hear.

Thanks to the Spidell Tax Season Tribune for the heads-up on this very ironic case.

IRS Criminals Still Being Investigated

Posted by taxguru on March 23, 2016

It’s not receiving much press coverage, but Lois Lerner and her band of crooks inside the IRS are still being investigated by some die-hard groups who were persecuted by them and are suing them in a class action.

It’s definitely an uphill and practically hopeless battle to wage war against a Federal government that is as rotten and corrupt as the bHo Regime is; but it’s impressive and hopefully inspiring to other victims of IRS crimes that they are at least making an attempt at obtaining justice

Tax returns have larger audience than normal…

Posted by taxguru on February 26, 2016

It’s not just presidential candidates who have their personal tax returns opened up for public scrutiny.  When we send IRS our private and confidential financial and tax data, we now have no way of knowing how many people are going to have access to that info.  IRS has had to admit this fact, while still requiring us to disclose absolutely everything to them.

Cyberattack total is more than twice previously disclosed: IRS

With the same security geniuses in DC “protecting” our medical info via ObamaCare, that data is just as safe from prying eyes as our tax data is.

Phony IRS Scams

Posted by taxguru on January 24, 2016

I’ve discussed the frequent scams with crooks calling on the telephone pretending to be from the IRS.

Snopes has some tips on avoiding email based scams of the same kind.

Tax season in 2016 triggered a number of novel riffs on common Internal Revenue Service-based scams.

The moral of the story is to always check with your own professional tax advisor before making any response to any type of communication from the IRS, including legitimate ones via snail mail.
