Online TaxLibrary

Posted by taxguru on December 14, 2010

I have been a big supporter of the folks at TheTaxBook ever since they broke away from the purely academic slant of the QuickFinder books and started their own books with a real life tax practitioner perspective.  I have purchased their books and CDs every year since they began and refer to them constantly.

I have recently been taking advantage of the free 14 day trial of their latest new service, which is a web based library of their publications plus quick and easy links to IRS publications and announcements.  I really like the way the Internal Revenue Code is organized for super easy research.  Having all of these things accessible from one main portal is extremely handy.  I have been told that more items will be added in the future.

I like it so much that I will be taking them up on their offer to convert my current order for the CD to the WebPortal Plus service.

They are inviting user feedback and I have shared my suggestions with them, including keeping the data more up to date for recent changes, as well as allowing the Forms and Publications pages to be sorted by the Date columns for easier location of new things.

I grabbed some screenshots of the main pages to show the contents.  Click on them for larger versions.
