Taxing the “Bad Guys”
Posted by taxguru on August 12, 2011
The DemonRats have made it an art to carve out segments of our society and then demonize them so that there will be widespread support to soak them with higher and higher taxes. Screwing the “Evil Rich” has been at the top of the DemonRat playbook for decades.
Here’s another item from The Onion that is hard to tell is a parody.

Only government rulers know how we should spend our money…
Posted by taxguru on August 12, 2011
The driving impetus behind high-tax big-government fans is their very explicit belief that private citizens are too stupid to know how to best spend their money. It is to this end that they believe that all privately held money should be confiscated and spent by our intellectual superiors in Washington DC.
That is why this latest parody from The Onion is so perfect. It’s so close to reality that it’s almost tough to realize it is satire, at least for now.

Posted by taxguru on August 8, 2011
From Jay Leno, via NewsMax:
It was on this day in 1861 that the federal income tax went into effect. Back in those days, there were a lot of robbers and thieves, so the government rounded them up and formed the IRS.

You’d have belllies as flat as Barack’s!”
“Well, a budget’s a diet:

And resist the temptation to tax!”

Posted by taxguru on July 27, 2011
It’s practically impossible nowadays to distinguish between the increasingly insane real events in places like Washington, DC and parodies from humor publications.
This hilarious video from The Onion could some day become real as the Social Security Ponzi Scheme continues to implode.

Trying to find some humor in the tax environment…
Posted by taxguru on September 14, 2010

According to a new report, 41 of President Obama’s staffers now owe the government more than $831,000 in back taxes. When asked if they could just keep avoiding taxes, they said, “Yes we can! Yes we can!”
From NewsBusted:
From Hollywood:
Billy Crudup Will Play Tim Geithner in HBO’s Too Big to Fail – He plans on doing some Method training for the role. I assume that means he’ll start using TurboTax to cheat on his tax returns.

The stupid fake canned laughter is a bit of a turn-off, but the videos from NewsBusted do occasionally have some funny digs at the left, such as the following tax related jokes from the April 20 and April 23 shows.

Craig Ferguson:
It’s fitting that April 14 is National Pecan Day because today, we recognize nuts. And tomorrow, on April 15, we pay our taxes to support them.
If no one paid their taxes, imagine what it would be like: America would be broke — more broke.
Jimmy Kimmel:
Tomorrow is the day to mail in your tax returns, which means tonight is the night to start making fake receipts.
It was tax day today. Don’t forget to set your bank account back $10,000 tonight.
The government wants us to count how many people live in our home, and then to calculate how much money we owe them. I actually got confused and sent a check to the census and a member of my household to the IRS. Sorry Grandma, we’ll get you back.
Larry King has filed for divorce from his wife, Shawn. He may have thought he was filing taxes, I don’t know.
Jay Leno:
It’s April 15, the day we all curse like Joe Biden.
President Obama turned in his tax return today. He didn’t owe a lot because he has a lot of dependents: his wife, two daughters, AIG, General Motors, Goldman Sachs.
