Any business owner who has fallen behind in paying payroll taxes to the IRS knows how ruthless they can get in their quest to get that money. Seizing bank accounts and other assets is common practice. However, what if the delinquent employer is another Federal government agency?

Bob Jennings explains the new 3.8% investment tax that starts to apply to the Evil Rich in 2013 if ObamaCare isn’t repealed.
Unfortunately, with Romney wimping out on his opposition to ObamaCare, the odds of getting rid of this new insane anti-investment tax are getting slimmer by the day.

Rush’s Morning Update today is about this article, describing how people on public assistance have been able to qame the tax system to also obtain huge illegal refunds from IRS.
Back in the good old days, when a Billion dollars was considered to be a huge number, our rulers may have been concerned about this blatant theft of taxpayer funds. Now that everything is stated in Trillions, it’s considered a mere drop in the bucket and not worth their effort to even try fixing.
Don’t stories like this make you swell up with patriotic pride when you send your money in to the IRS?

Interesting article from Drudge about the number of tax preparers in this country.
When tax complexity puts dinner on the table
Up to 1.2 million tax preparers make a living navigating the labyrinth US tax code for taxpayers. We have more professional tax preparers in the United States than law enforcement officers (765,000) and professional firefighters (310,400) combined.
What I find ironic is the fact that I frequently hear complaints from other tax preparers about the growing number of people who don’t use our services and use the do it yourself software products or online services to prepare their tax returns. Also, with the new stricter regulations on preparers, many are deciding to leave the profession.
