We’ve all had a laugh at the exploits of the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Charlie Rangel, as the list of his crimes grows and grows. Here is a clip of him singing before Congress, explaining that it isn’t fair to expect an 80 year old man to obey the laws, courtesy of Auto-Tune the News.

It’s been amusing to watch the posturing in DC over the soon to expire tax cuts. When they are being portrayed as a bad thing, they are referred to as the Bush Tax Cuts and Tax Cuts for the Evil Rich. When they are properly referred to as something good for the economy, they are being portrayed as the Obamao DemonRat Tax Cuts, as shown in this clip from the latest episode of NewsBusted.
For those twisted folks who work and reside in the fairy tale land of DC, this supposedly makes sense. To those of us in the real world, it’s one more example of why we need to get rid of the career politicians and ignore the mainstream state controlled media.

Democratic Congressman Charlie Rangel easily won his primary. He hasn’t been this happy since he saved all that money by not paying taxes.
According to a new report, 41 of President Obama’s staffers now owe the government more than $831,000 in back taxes. When asked if they could just keep avoiding taxes, they said, “Yes we can! Yes we can!”
I got a kick out of this campaign video from Nancy Pelosi’s opponent, John Dennis, where she summons her flying monkey IRS agents to do her evil bidding. Too close to reality to ignore.

I recently discovered the entertaining videos by Alfonzo Rachel. I particularly enjoyed this rant he had, where he gave a good quick comparison of basic economic principles with capitalism and communism. He even has an idea of how the proposed Fart Tax might be implemented.
The full almost five minute long video from which this clip is excerpted is here.

I recently came across this interesting short history of income taxes in this country from Glenn Beck’s website. It even closes with a reference to the still very relevant “TaxMan” song by George Harrison.

The stupid fake canned laughter is a bit of a turn-off, but the videos from NewsBusted do occasionally have some funny digs at the left, such as the following tax related jokes from the April 20 and April 23 shows.

I recently came across an amusing sitcom from Canada called Less Than Kind. In the third episode of the first season, the main family is subjected to a Federal income tax audit that could very easily be taking place in the USA. Some funny examples of how not to handle things, such as literally baking receipts in the oven.
I edited my copy of the episode down to just the audit scenes and uploaded it to YouTube.

I’ve been teaching myself how to improve the vidcasts, and here is the first one with the semi-new style. The built-in hyper-link to my article on corp fiscal years doesn’t seem to be working, so here it is.
