From Jay Leno:

President Obama is currently on a week-long trip to Africa, where he will promote freedom, democracy, and economic opportunity. I guess he figured it hasn’t worked here — so try it somewhere else.

The Girl Scouts announced that their pension plan has a $347 million deficit. The Girl Scouts are $347 million in debt so in addition to teaching girls about camping it also is preparing them for careers in government.

The White House science advisor said a War on Coal is what’s needed to fight carbon pollution. Miners should rejoice. If the War on Coal goes as well as the War on Drugs, every no-smoking section in he country will make an exception for coal-powered laptops.

President Obama warned of climate change Tuesday and called for wind and solar to replace coal and oil as America’s energy sources. He needs new consultants. People voted for the president to get free health care, they’re not about to give up air conditioning.

Mexico theme park Parque EcoAlberto opened a twenty-minute attraction that takes people through a fake U.S. border crossing. It’s complete with wolves, fences, and angry shouts from U.S. border agents. It’s so lifelike. If you get all the way through it, they give you a three thousand dollar refund for your child tax credit and an EBT card for lunch.

Hillary Clinton’s image appeared on buttons, hats and shirts for sale Tuesday as her campaign got underway. Hollywood’s making a movie about her life in DC right after college. The casting directors are interviewing sacks of cash to play the role of her first love.

Fraudulent refunds paid by IRS

Posted by taxguru on June 29, 2013

Snopes.com has this story about how scammers have been able to easily steal millions of dollars in bogus refunds form IRS.

Snoes doesn’t connect the dots that IRS was too busy harassing opponents of the BHO Regime to monitor these kinds of frauds, but I will.

More on IRS Scandals

Posted by taxguru on June 29, 2013

As our short attention span mainstream media move on to other stories, here’s an assortment of recent articles on the IRS misdeeds, which are still just as wrong as they ever were.

House panel finds IRS official waived Fifth Amendment right, can be forced to testify in targeting probe –  Bad news for admitted criminal Lois Lerner; good news for the American people.

Lois Lerner’s plan: fight on –  She knows that BHO will have no problem granting her a pardon for her crimes that were committed in pursuit of promoting his agenda.

Republican-led House panel challenges IRS worker who took Fifth Amendment –  Lois Lerner

GOP congressman crumples redacted IRS report during hearing –  At least there are a few GOP politicians willing to go to battle with IRS and have their personal tax returns audited.

Grassley: IRS to pay $70M in employee bonuses despite spending cuts –  They have their own set of priorities.

Obama’s Climate of Intimidation –  Nobody dares speak up against our Kenyan King without risking everything they have.

IRS supervisor in D.C. admits to overseeing tea party targeting –  We can dispense with the fabrication that this was all run from Cincinnati.

Twelve different IRS units nationwide targeted conservatives –  Plus dozens of other Regime departments.  This was very coordinated and not in any way accidental.

The IRS Immigration Fraud Scandal –  IRS is too busy harassing US citizens to catch foreigners stealing billions in illegal tax refunds.

Why the IRS Scandal Needs a Special Prosecutor –  But the BHO Regime has done such an excellent job of investigating and reporting on itself.  Why would we possibly need an unrelated outside party to look at these matters?  With that logic, why do we need independent CPAs to audit company books?  Think of all the money that could be saved if everyone just audited themselves like the BHO Regime does.

IG: IRS credit cards used for wine, pornography –  More examples of IRS priorities for the use of taxpayer money.

Probe: IRS contractor won up to $500 million in questionable bids –  It’s just the age-old philosophy that governs DC, “It’s not what you know that counts; it’s who you know and who you bribe.”

Cover the IRS, Don’t Cover for It –  Peggy Noonan looks at the media lackeys who are trying to cover up the IRS scandals, as they have been doing for all of the other BHO Regime crimes.

Lucky Dube’s TaxMan song

Posted by taxguru on June 27, 2013

For ages, I have been collecting and posting different version’s of George Harrison’s classic and timeless TaxMan song.  During a CPE webinar today, one of the polling questions asked which musical artist hadn’t recorded a song called TaxMan; Elvis Presley, Lucky Dube or The Beatles. The answer was Elvis.

The presenter explained that he had come across a song by South African reggae artist Lucky Dube.  This was news to me; so I searched YouTube and found a number of recordings of Lucky Dube performing this song. One of them even includes the lyrics.

TAXMAN
(Composed by Lucky Dube)

I pay my gardener
To clean up my garden
I pay my doctor
To check out da other ting
I pay my lawyer
To fight for my rights
And I pay my body guard
To guard my body
There’s only one man I pay
But I don’t know what I’m paying for
I’m talking about the taxman x3

CHORUS

What have you done for me lately
Mr Taxman x4

You take from the rich
Take from the poor
You even take from me
Can’t understand it now
I pay for the police
To err…I don’t know why
‘Cause if my dollar was good enough
There wouldn’t be so much crime
In the Streets
They tell me you’re a fat man
And you always take and
Never give

CHORUS

What have you done for me lately
Mr Taxman

Till fade

I had never heard of Lucky Dube before now and was bummed out to read in this Wikipedia article, that he was killed by carjackers in 2007 in South Africa at the age of only 43.  As you can hear in these examples, he sounds a lot like Bob Marley, another reggae artist who died much too young, at 36.

Another IRS Criminal taking the Fifth

Posted by taxguru on June 26, 2013

Pathetic doofus from IRS.  Guess how well this kind of response to IRS questions would get the average taxpayer.

Thanks to Drudge for this.

From Jay Leno:

In the middle of all these scandals, President Obama got some good news today. The IRS ruled that he can write off the first half of his second term as a total loss.

Official IRS responses to their scandals…

Posted by taxguru on June 25, 2013

On their news page, IRS officials have posted some notices regarding what they plan to do in response to their recently revealed misdeeds.  How much will actually change is anyone’s guess, especially considering the BHO Regime’s open warfare against any and all critics and its use of all governmental agencies to harass opponents.

From Argus Hamilton:

The Tea Party had a big rally at the Capitol building in Washington D.C. on Wednesday demanding lower taxes and a smaller government. There were thousands of them. The IRS nearly launched a drone just to cut down on the manpower needed to audit them all.

President Obama got a lecture from German Chancellor Angela Merkel Wednesday after it was revealed that the NSA is spying on Germans. Her confrontation is a sign that we’ve hit bottom. You know that it’s time to get help when the country that brought us the Gestapo stages an intervention and tells you that your surveillance is out of control.

Wall Street saw a stock sell off Thursday after Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke hinted he may retire, causing stock investors to panic and run. Merrill Lynch quickly adjusted its investment portfolio. They now hold fifty percent cash and fifty percent canned goods.

From Jay Leno:

Iran has elected a new president named Hassan Rohani. Rohani has promised to improve Iran’s economy and fix the unemployment problem. If that doesn’t work, he’s going to blame the whole thing on President Bush.

From Craig Ferguson:

Clothing designers Dolce & Gabbana are in a lot of trouble. They have been found guilty of tax evasion. They probably won’t do any jail time. Which is a relief because stripes are out this year.

The judge ordered Dolce & Gabbana to pay a huge fine. It could be high as $13 million. That’s chump change for Dolce & Gabbana. Those guys giving up $13 million would be like Jay Leno giving up one car.

It would be like Lance Armstrong giving up one syringe.

Apparently, Dolce & Gabbana were an item for 23 years. They broke up in 2005 but still work together. That’s got to be tough, working with an ex. I go through it every time Drew Carey’s on this show.

From Jimmy Fallon:

Fashion designers Dolce & Gabbana have been sentenced to 20 months in jail for tax evasion. Their lawyers are appealing the sentence while Dolce & Gabbana are appealing the prison uniform. Orange is so last year.

That’s right. Dolce & Gabbana were convicted of tax evasion. It didn’t help when the judge asked how they pled, and they were like “Fabulous?”

Men’s Wearhouse stock fell Tuesday after the board fired founder and TV spokesman George Zimmer. It’s obvious why. Men’s Wearhouse fired George Zimmer because they found an identical brand name bearded guy for half the price of the retail bearded guy.

The IRS prompted a public outcry Tuesday by announcing plans to give out seventy million dollars in performance bonuses this week to IRS agents, IRS supervisors and IRS employees. It’s not much at all. You wouldn’t do that job for just a dollar a conservative.
