It appears that some Dims have reached their breaking point in regard to trying to defend the IRS’s actions, while others are still holding the Party line and rationalizing anything their Party does as acceptable, whether it’s technically legal or not.
A little historical refresher is appropriate right about now. Even though the Dims were threatening him with impeachment over the Watergate coverup, it wasn’t until some Republicans told Richard Nixon that they could no longer cover his ass, that he decided to resign. Unfortunately, I don’t see a similar action taking place with the current crop of DemonRats.

Interesting to see this clip from the DemonRat Party’s official TV network, MSNBC, ripping the slimey way the current IRS Commissioner has been handling the cover-up of their crimes.
The comments by former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell miss the point of the IRS Commish’s function. He wasn’t brought in by BHO to clean things up. He was given the job of continuing the cover-up and making sure that no part of this scandal sticks to BHO. To that end, he is doing a great job and BHO has no reason to fire him.

IRS: Lerner’s Hard Drive On Malaysia Flight 370 – Parody or true? Maybe this will motivate CNN to cover the IRS crimes.
It’s long been acknowledged that Richard Nixon’s undoing wasn’t the Watergate break-in, but the coverup after the fact. Of course, rules of justice are different for members of the two main political parties, so it’s “no harm, no foul” when DemonRats are involved in elaborate cover-ups and their accomplices in the media explicitly help with the covering up.
I’m sure I’m not alone in speculating how things would go if the tables were turned and a taxpayer used these excuses during an IRS audit. The case would quickly be referred to the IRS’s Criminal Investigation Division, where the penalties are not just financial, but include prison time. Of course, since double standards prevail with our government overlords, nothing will happen to the growing number of IRS employees involved in this current cover-up.

To be a good faithful liberal member of the JackAss Party, it has long been a requirement to be very comfortable with massive amounts of hypocrisy and with stretching the truth (aka Lying). The Clinton Family has never had any problems with either of these requirements and are masters at both, as in this interesting piece from Bloomberg about tax savings steps the Clintons use privately, while publicly calling for high confiscatory taxes on everyone else.
Not long ago, Bill Clinton was giving speeches, bragging about all of the money he was making and how great it was that he was in the highest tax bracket.
